The best-looking render means nothing if the set can't take the weight of a lighting rig or survive fifteen crew members moving through it before 7am. We've learned to design for shoot day from the first sketch, not as a late-stage engineering pass.
That means every concept gets a structural sanity check before it's presented, load points get mapped against the venue's actual rigging plan, and finishes are chosen for how they'll look after a full day of handling, not just under studio lighting on delivery day.
It's a less glamorous part of the process than the concept phase, but it's the difference between a set that photographs well in a mood board and one that photographs well after twelve hours of production.
